The W.E.L.L PLAYBOOK
Real tools for athletes, parents, and coaches.
This is where we give you what most programs do not.
Athletes
Helping athletes build mental strength,
confidence, and control.
How to Handle Pressure During Games
Pressure is part of the game.
The problem is most athletes are never taught how to handle it.
So when the game gets intense and it is time to perform, they get stuck in their head, shut down, overthink, or lose confidence. One mistake turns into doubt, and doubt takes them out the game. they are physically ready but mentally stuck. when the moment gets big, their mind gets louder than the game.
Let's fix that.
What Pressure Feels Like
Racing thoughts
Fear of making mistakes
Overthinking every move
Feeling like everyone is watching
You are not weak.
You are untrained.
What To Do In The Moment
When Pressure hits, do this:
Slow your breathing
Focus on one play at a time
Stop thinking about the outcome
Lock in on your role
Say this to your self:
"I am prepared. Just play."
The Truth
Confidence does not come from talent.
It comes from repetition and control.
The athletes who perform under pressure are the ones who know how to calm themselves.
Close
Pressure is not your enemy.
It is your opportunity.
If you need help building this skill, we train it.

Parents
How to Support Your Athlete Without Breaking Them
Most parents want the best for their child.
But pressure at home can become heavier than pressure in the game.
And many athletes are breaking because of it.
What Hurts Athletes
Constant criticism
Yelling after games
Only focusing on performance
Comparing them to other kids
This does not build strong athletes.
It builds anxiety.
What Actually Helps
After games, say:
“I love watching you play”
“I’m proud of your effort”
Ask:
“How did you feel out there?”
Not:
“Why did you miss that?”
The Shift
Your job is not to control their performance.
Your job is to support their growth.
When athletes feel safe, they perform better.
Close
Your words matter more than the scoreboard.
We also teach parents how to support their athletes the right way.

Coaches
You Are Either Building Athletes or Breaking Them
Coaches have more influence than they realize.
The way you speak to an athlete can either build confidence or destroy it.
What Athletes Are Carrying
Some are dealing with:
Problems at home
No support system
Mental health struggles
Pressure they do not talk about
And then they walk into your practice.
What Does Not Work
Yelling constantly
Embarrassing athletes
Breaking them down in front of others
Coaching through fear
This creates compliance, not confidence.
What Works
Clear communication
Accountability without disrespect
Correction without humiliation
Building trust first
Great athletes are not just pushed.
They are developed.
The Truth
A broken athlete will not perform.
A supported athlete will grow, trust you, and compete harder.
Close
You are not just coaching a sport.
You are shaping a person.
W.E.L.L partners with coaches to build stronger athletes mentally and emotionally.

This is Bigger Than The Game
We are not just developing athletes.
We are building discipline, confidence, and emotional strength for life.
